New York playlist

My much awaited trip to New York is finally upon me *cries with happiness* so I thought I would share some of my favourite songs on my playlist with you all. A good playlist of the flight is a must have for me (you never know who you may have to sit beside?) so I am very thankful indeed to the wonders that is Spotify Premium.

Down to London Town

Last month I took a fleeting trip down to London town with a few of my gorgeous friends. London is one of my all time favourite cities so I'm sharing some of my great experiences with you. Lest get started shall we?

We arrived rather late so there was a mad rush of clothes and makeup chaos before we headed out to see a performance of 'The Lion King'. I have seen this performance once before but its one of those thing that you will never get bored of! The costumes, singing, acting and stage was incredible! Defiantly worth taking a visit. Oh and did I mention that we bumped into the Youtuber Sam Pepper?

On the second day it was time for a trip to the Globe theatre to watch a performance of 'Macbeth'. It was absolutely INCREDIBLE,the acting was fantastic! Whats lovely about the Globe theatre is that its Shakespeare's own design so you really feel like you've been transported back in time. Oh and if you happen to be a 'Lord of the Rings' fan, Pippin played the part of Banquo. Then we where of to Covent Garden for some shopping. Covent Garden is wonderfully random with shops ranging from Chanel to fun but tacky souvenir stalls. There was even a 'Moomin' shop! Finally, in the evening we popped of to a lovely Italian restaurant for dinner.

On the last day *sob sob :(* it was time for something slightly more intellectual so off we headed to the Natural History museum. There architecture there is amazing! If your heading there soon, make sure you check out the dinosaur section before its taken down, beware of a queue to get in though! After that we took a fleeting look around some of London's main attractions before getting on a bus and heading homeward bound.

Bluebell in the bluebells

Suffering from tonsillitis on the first day of the holidays was defiantly not how I imagined my summer. So while I was sitting on my sofa and feeling generally sorry for myself I was brought back to a few weekends ago were the weather was beautiful and sunny. On that extremely fine Saturday my lovely friends Eilidh, Alice, Mara and I decided to go on a walk.

While we strolled along chatting about The Great Gatsby (we had seen it the night before), I gazed out at the lovely scenery and felt very blessed to live in such a beautiful part of the world.

Ahhh bluebells, I love them so! They are such beautiful and fragrant flowers. We strolled through carpets of them that day.

Finally we reached our destination, a cute n' quirky chocolate/coffee shop were we settled down to reward ourselves with delicious iced lattes.

Things that make me smile :)

I got this lovely idea from two of my dearest friends Molly and Eilidh. I loved reading their posts because I felt like I got to know them even more (if thats possible), go check them out!
For me, 'Things that make me smile' seemed like the perfect second post, one that would help you lovely people reading this get to know and understand me a little better. Here goes.....

1. Baking: I am a massive baking fan! Nothing pleases me more than creating the gooiest brownie or the most scrumptious cupcake. Personally I find good baking an art form and an wonderful way of expressing yourself.

2. London: London is by far my favourite city. I have been visiting ever since I was a baby but something about its hecktecness and loudness excites me every time. London in general is such a fasinating city, you will always find something new to do or visit. And we cant forget Oxford street, shopaholic heaven!

3. Harry Potter: Yes, i know its kind of odd to have it up here but what can i say, i'm a mahoooosive potter head! Harry Potter has been my life since my dad started reading them to me at the age of six. I have now read the complete series more times than i'd like to admit and i must confess, i do have a slight girl crush on Luna Lovegood! (weird i know.....)

4. Skiing: I know this is more of a seasonal thing so as soon as there is the slightest glimpse of snow you can be certain that I'll be whooshing down one of those snowy peaks, whooping with glee as I go. I love the freedom of gliding (and sometimes falling!) over fresh snow.

5. Fashion: Fashion, fashion, fashion, what can I say? I'm a humungous fashion addict! In my spare time you would often find me skimming through Vogue like there's no tomorrow! My passion for fashion *cringe* properly started when my sister and I were asked to do a small modelling job for the Italian fashion magazine 'Book Moda'. I just couldn't stop myself from asking questions about the clothes and proudly declaring they were the most beautiful things I'd ever seen. Since then my love has blossomed into a full grown obsession!

6.  Photography: Taking the perfect photograph is very satisfactory. I would happily spend the whole day roaming the countryside, taking picture after picture of the stupidest things imaginable e.g.. blades of grass. The main thing I look for in a blog is defiantly good and creative photographs.

So there was a few of my favourite things (don't sing Bluebell, don't sing!). I hope you enjoyed it and feel free to leave a comment if you have the same interests. Until next time, goodbye!

Bluebell's first thought......

On one particularly fine Sunday afternoon, you would find one of my closest friends Eilidh and I glued to my computer screen, frantically trying to figure out the fabulous but confusing world of Blogger. I have been thinking of starting a fashion and lifestyle blog for a while now, so the thought of a desperately dull and uneventful summer finally pushed me into it. Enter 'thoughts of a Bluebell', my saviour, enjoy!
